UPDATE: The congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords is still alive and fighting for her life. She was shot in the head at a Safeway grocery store along with others. The congresswoman was sent immediately into surgery she is now out of surgery. She is currently in intensive care. Their were 18 people shot in all. There are 12 people wounded and six people are dead. Among the dead is a nine year-old girl. There is a suspect in custody at this time. His name is Jared Lee Lougher. He is 22 years old. He apparently had an account on Myspace that has been taking down. However he has a Youtube account where some of his ramblings are on the video below.
