CONNETICUT SCHOOL SHOOTING

A school shooting took place at around 9:45 a.m. this morning at the hands of Adam Lanza, a 20 year old at the Sandy Hook Elementary school. The school went from K-4TH grade. The suspect took his own life after killing his mother at the home they shared along with 6 adults and 20 children. The mother of Adam Lanza taught at the school. It has been stated that he focused his attention on his mother's students and another classroom full of students. The deceased included the Principal and the school psychologist who were said to have been shot execution style. It has been stated that 18 of the children died with in the school and the other two died at the hospital. The brother of Adam Lanza, Ryan Lanza has currently been arrested.

It has also been stated that the family members of Adam Lanza have spoken to police. Many parents showed up at school looking for their child. However, at a nearby firehouse some parents who had not yet seen their child waited for the Governor, Dannel Malloy to deliver news when he came back at around 3:30 p.m. it was stated that he told parents who had not been reunited with their children that they "would not be reunited with their child." It was stated that parents begin to wail and others were in shock. All of the bodies of are is still in the school building being processed by forensics and identified which will take up until Sunday. This is an active crime scene. My thoughts and prayers are with each of the family members who lost someone today. My heart goes out to anyone who saw this horror at the school. This is not something that children should ever have to experience.President Obama spoke today and got emotional during the course of explaining what is on the world's heart tonight.
