The news broke yesterday morning that a shooting happened in Tucson, Arizona at Safeway where the Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was holding an event called, Congress on the Corner. Giffords was shot in the head and is now in critical condition. She is in an induced coma and is on a ventilator however when awake she can follow commands from doctors. Their were 20 people shot in all and 14 of those people were injured and 6 of those people died. Among the dead was Judge John Roll who served the state of Arizona for over 20 years and a nine year-old girl named, Christina Green. The 14 people who were injured have all been out of the critical condition stage, now three remain in serious condition, and one person has been discharged from the hospital. The other suspect who police were looking for in the shooting now has been cleared. The shooter who is 22 year old Jared Lee Loughner has been charged with five counts of murder and he has also been charged with the attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
